All loads must be separated at the time they are unloaded. This is due to Kansas Department of Health and Environment regulations. They must be sorted as follows:

METALS

BRUSH (Unprocessed wood, Trees and Bushes only)

YARD WASTE (All grass clippings and plant trimmings, everything except brush)

CONCRETE (Includes bricks and porcelain plumbing fixtures)

CONSTRUCTION DEBRIS (Lumber, sheetrock and shingles)

GRAIN

ALL OTHER WASTES

TIRES.

There is a charge for the disposal of tires. Wichita County is charged for the disposal of tires taken at the landfill by a tire recycler. Tires cannot be buried due to KDHE regulations. Charges for tires are as follows:

CAR AND LIGHT TRUCK  up to 16 inches ----  $1.50

TRUCK -----------------------------------------   $5.00

TRACTOR --------------------------------------   $15.00

OVERSIZE--------------------------------------    $50.00

TIRES WITH RIMS-----------------------------    $2.00 EXTRA

There is a charge for the disposal of concrete due to the necessity of crushing it to reduce the volume and make a useable product. This charge is $10.00 per ton or yard. The per ton rate is the least costly. The per yard charge is figured on the total volume of the truck. An empty weight will need to be obtained as well as a gross weight for the charges to be calculated for the per ton rate. If several loads are to be hauled only one empty weight will be required per day.

There is a charge of $10.00 per ton for grain.

There are 6 dumpsters outside of the fence to provide for dumping after hours. When the dumpsters are full and rubbish is dumped on the ground, according to KDHE regulations, that is open dumping. Open dumping is punishable by a $1000.00 dollar fine, and/or up to one year in prison.
