WICHITA COUNTY
RECYCLING
CENTER
HOURS 8:00 AM THROUGH 4:30 PM
Items accepted for recycling are:
Corrugated Cardboard
Newspaper
Magazines
Plastic Bottles
Plastic Jugs
Office Paper
Glass Containers
Other Paper Products

At this time we do not recycle any type of plastics with the exception of plastic bottles and jugs. Oil, Anti-freeze, and chemical jugs cannot be recycled through this center due to the residual products that remain in these containers.
We do not recycle Styrofoam.
At this point we do not have an outlet for paper bags with the plastic liners. E.g.: Feed and seed bags. If these bags don’t have the plastic liners they can be recycled.
Due to the different additives put in glass during the manufacturing process, glass containers are all we accept at this time. Window glass, and automobile glass cannot be recycled.
There are large dumpsters located at several businesses around town as well as the recycling center for cardboard. These dumpsters are marked “Cardboard Only.” Don’t put anything in these dumpsters except cardboard. There is a trailer at the courthouse for other recyclables. There are also containers for these items located at the recycle center. There is also a recycling trailer at the Post Office in Marienthal.
