Zinc Phosphide Bait: Restricted Use Pesticide (ZP Oats) 1 teaspoon per hole in late summer through late fall (July to December). Read and follow all label instructions.
Aluminum Phosphide: (Fumitoxin) Restricted Use Pesticide Apply 2 to 4 tablets or 10-20 pellets per burrow, plug and cover with dirt following application. Water may be added during drought conditions to aid in activation. A permit is required from Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks (620-672-0720) to apply fumigants to prairie dog towns. Read and follow all label instructions.
Chlorophacinone: (Rozol) Apply ¼ cup to each active burrow a minimum of 6 inches below ground level between October 1 and March 15 of the following year. A 24(c) Supplemental Label must be in the applicator’s possession on site during application. (24 (c) Supplemental Labels are available at the dealer, Wichita County Noxious Weed Department or The Wichita County Clerks Office). Read and follow all label instructions on the product label as well as the 24(c) Supplemental Label.
